Building Vocal Power and Health
Paul knows that everyone at any age can greatly improve their voice and increase vocal power while decreasing vocal stress by focusing on a few techniques, including resonance, breathing, body position and the vocal mechanism.  No previous experience necessary for this class!

Mastering Your Part
Paul shares a method of learning voice parts which allowed him to improve his ear, help his director, help fellow singers around the world, and prepare him for getting his music degree.  If you've ever been in doubt about any note to any song, Paul's "singing by numbers" works!  It's as easy as 1-3-5...

Vocal Percussion
Paul has sung with several award-winning acappella groups as vocal percussionist.  Here he talks about basic vocal and microphone techniques for making grooves, as well as the fundamentals of rhythm and how to listen to a drum part, decompose it and replicate it orally.

Paul Kim studied choir conducting with Joshua Habermann and has a master's degree in music from San Francisco State University.  Paul has also studied conducting with Terrance Kelly, Jeremy Faust and Manfred Schreier at the Staatliche Musikhochschule in Trossingen (Germany) and vocal technique with among others Alissa Deeter, Corey Head and Monika Moldenauer in both San Francisco and Germany.

Currently Paul is the conductor of Frederiksborg Kammerkor in Denmark, and is the founder/director for the jazz vocal group Dynamic (dynamicjazz.dk) and the International Gospel Academy (internationalgospelacademy.org), for which he teaches voice, conducts choirs and organizes Gospel workshops.

Paul has sung professionally in many groups, including the San Francisco Choral Artists and Grand Teton Festival Chorale, in the chorus and as understudy at San Jose Opera, with jazz vocal quartet Where's Gesualdo, as soloist with the Vallejo Symphony Orchestra and as section leader and church singer in several locations.  As choirmaster, Paul conducted a concert with jazz legend Jon Hendricks, directed Mozart's Requiem and Orff's Camina Burana in Denmark, directed JS Bach's B-minor Mass in both Germany and Denmark and was musical director for the concert Rocking A Capella in Villingen, Germany.

I'll get you my course info by Monday, but my specialty would be in basic voice strengthening, health, technique and resonance, and all things related to musicianship (ear-training, memorizing your part, etc.).
