Artown Reno is a month-long, citywide celebration of
art, music, dance, theater, and culture that transforms Reno into an artistic hub every July.

Artown is one of the National Endowment for the Arts’ most comprehensive arts festivals in the U.S., running from July 1 to July 31 each year. It is celebrated in Reno, Nevada, and is known for its vibrant mix of free and low-cost events that take over venues across the city, from downtown and MidTown to parks and cultural centers. This year, OIGC is honored to have been selected to perform join the festival! From their site:

Start your Sunday morning with an uplifting celebration of music, community, and spirit at Rancho San Rafael Regional Park. The Oakland Interfaith Gospel Choir brings powerful energy and joyful sound through the rich traditions of Black gospel and spiritual music. Founded in 1986 by Terrance Kelly, this award-winning ensemble unites singers of all backgrounds, faiths, and cultures, creating a vibrant expression of inclusion, hope, and belonging. With voices raised in harmony, their performances inspire connection and move audiences to their feet. Having toured internationally and performed with renowned artists, the choir delivers a dynamic and soul-stirring experience rooted in history and alive with passion. Their music has been featured on Grammy-winning recordings and shared in venues ranging from grand concert halls to community spaces. Set against the beautiful backdrop of the park, this special morning performance invites you to gather, reflect, and celebrate through the transformative power of gospel music.
