Turn Data Into Connection.
OIGC is a vibrant nonprofit arts organization that brings together more than 500 active members and a growing community of 7,500+ contacts - including donors, alumni, and program participants. We believe that strong relationships start with smart systems, and we're looking for a Membership & CRM Coordinator who can transform our Microsoft Dynamics 365 platform into a powerful engine for engagement, giving, and community growth.
If you love the intersection of people, data, and a mission you can believe in - and you know how to make a CRM work for people, not against them - we are looking for you.
What You'll Do
Build and Maintain Our Data Foundation:
Manage our complete contact database in Microsoft Dynamics 365, ensuring accurate, up-to-date records for members, donors, alumni, and program participants
Perform quality data entry and regular data hygiene (deduplication, standardization, enrichment)
Maintain Dynamics 365 as an accessible hub for our team—organizing member data, rosters, and communications across SharePoint and other Microsoft tools to ensure easy staff access
Drive Membership Engagement:
Coordinate membership communications including renewal notices, welcome emails, and engagement campaigns
Monitor membership status (active, lapsed, expiring) and support retention efforts
Maintain member rosters and ensure accessibility for staff use
Respond to member inquiries and support a positive member experience
Enable Smarter Giving:
Generate reports tracking donor activity, giving trends, and campaign performance
Segment contacts for targeted communications based on giving history, membership status, and engagement
Support fundraising initiatives by providing data insights and actionable lists
Track and report on donor retention and alumni engagement metrics
Grow Our Community:
Support mailing list growth strategies and list management best practices
Collaborate with staff to refine communication strategies based on ability to segment different audiences (members vs. donors vs. alumni)
Who You Are
Required:
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM, with the ability to manage it independently, including contact databases, creating views, and generating reports
Direct experience using nonprofit CRM systems in day-to-day operations, ideally with experience using the D365 Nonprofit Accelerator, Fundraising & Engagement, or similar nonprofit-focused Microsoft Dynamics solutions
Detail-oriented and organized with a track record of maintaining clean, accurate data
Skilled in segmentation and list management for targeted communications
Comfortable with public-facing communication. You'll interact with members, donors, and supporters via email, and occasionally by phone
Self-directed and able to work independently in a remote, part-time capacity
Education should be commensurate with experience and skills
Preferred:
Experience with the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power BI)
Familiarity with SharePoint for document management and collaboration
Background in membership management, or nonprofit operations
Experience in the arts or cultural sector
Personal Qualities:
Mission-aligned with a genuine passion for nonprofit work
Proactive problem-solver who improves systems without being asked
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Collaborative team player who can also work autonomously
Comfortable wearing multiple hats in a small but mighty team
What We Offer:
Meaningful work that directly supports artists, programs, and community
Flexibility: Remote work with scheduling flexibility (Approximately 15-20 hours/week)
Autonomy: Own your domain and build systems that make a real difference
Growth: Opportunity to shape how we use technology to deepen relationships and grow our impact

COMPENSATION: $35-45/hr DOE - up to $50/hr for
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP: This position will report to the Executive Director, work closely with our Executive Administrator, and serves at the pleasure of the Board of Directors.

ABOUT OIGC:
The Oakland Interfaith Gospel Choir (OIGC), a nonprofit 501(c)(3) arts organization, was born out of a gospel music workshop led by the exuberant Terrance Kelly at Living Jazz’s Jazz Camp West in 1986. OIGC became an independent nonprofit organization in 1991. Since then, the award-winning choir’s exquisite harmonies and stirring gospel repertoire have led to performances with a wide variety of esteemed groups, such as the Five Blind Boys of Alabama, and the Duke Ellington Orchestra. The Choir also appears on Grammy-winning albums by Linda Ronstadt, MC Hammer, Tramaine Hawkins, and others. In 2022, OIGC acquired the Oakland Youth Chorus which has now celebrated 50 years of youth music excellence and education.
Now boasting a total of eight choirs under our administrative umbrella, OIGC has become a force for creating positive community through music for people of all ages. Our small team of staff and volunteers is committed to a people-first culture of partnership, clear communication, and trust; our organization is led by a proactive board of singers and community members committed to governance best practices and the necessary strategic work to lead us into the future. The self-directed individual who excels in this role will become a critical part of a dedicated team and a beautiful organization with big dreams!
