FAQ’s

Do I have to audition?

  • Nope! — Anyone can register for the workshop.

How should I prepare for rehearsal?

  • As it is in the Black gospel music tradition, most songs are taught by ear. It is good practice to have a notepad to write down lyrics and use a recording device (many people use their phones) to record the songs and practice between rehearsals.

Can I receive financial assistance to participate?

  • Financial assistance is provided on a case-by-case basis. Please email admin@oigc.org prior to registration.
